Disney, Rainforest, Beach, Baseball & the Atlanta Temple

The remainder of our days in Houston were spent doing other several fun things. After we went to the Houston Zoo, we got to go to Disney on Ice. I absolutely love Disney, and this particular one was Toy Story 3. I was a little bit worried on how Will would do during the show, but he ended up sleeping through the entire 1st half, and being really entertained during the 2nd half.

The next day was my brother Nic's birthday. My sister Emily planned for us to go to the Rainforest Cafe and then on to the beach in Galveston. The Rainforest Cafe is such a cool place. The entire restaurant looks like a rainforest and at various times, the different animals move. We all had a lot of fun, especially Nic. He saw this hat at the hostess desk and took it. He ended up taking it, until the hat blew away after we left the restaurant.

After some great food and fun we headed to the beach in Galveston. It wasn't the prettiest beach that I have ever been to but we still had a lot of fun.

The next day Lynsee, Mike and their 2 girls had to head back to Tennessee so that Mike could head back to work. But that didn't stop the fun for the rest of us. Saturday night we were able to go to a Houston Astros game. Although the Astros had not had a very good season prior to us coming, they did win their game against the Padres 5-3.

After a really fun week, Sunday after church we started the trek home to Charlotte. We stayed the night in Hammond, Louisiana, then headed home. But before getting there we were able to make a stop at the Atlanta temple. It had been getting redone for the past 2 years and we happened to be passing through Atlanta during the open house. It was great to be able to walk through and see it. I absolutely love seeing the temple and knowing the great work that goes on there.

We had such a great time in Houston and look forward to the next time that we can visit Brad, Emily, Macey and Sunny. Thanks for having us.

Isn't it awesome to post "Will and MOM" on those photos. It just brightened my heart to see that you get to be the mom. Wonderful!
