Since both boys recently had birthdays, we had a little photo shoot in Nana's backyard to get their 1 year and 3 year old pictures. Here are the results.

A Little Off the Top
After insisting for a month that it was not time to cut his hair yet, I finally relented and about a month ago, Peter went in to get his first haircut. This is one mother who is scared to death to cut my boys' hair, I think I've heard too many horror stories about it from my husband, so we took him into Pigtails and Crewcuts. I think they did a pretty great job, though think it makes him look way too much like a little boy and not so much a baby.

Happy 3rd Birthday Will (and another 3 on the birthday for Mom)
July 15th was Will's 3rd birthday. I can hardly believe my little guy is 3 years old, time has flown by. I do believe he had a pretty good day though. He started off the morning by getting one of his favorite breakfast's, eggs. Then he got to see his present from Mom & Dad, a Cars scooter.
He enjoyed much of the day playing on his scooter, swimming in Nana's swimming pool, then later that night eating macaroni and cheese for dinner, then getting to blow out the candles on his birthday cake.
So just a little bit about my big 3 year old boy and some of the things he knows how to do, just so I can keep it for my own records.
Will knows most of his colors already, his favorite by far to say are red and orange but he also knows purple, blue, green, yellow, black and white.
He knows stars and circles but is still working on most of his shapes.
He absolutely loves his Grandpa Ladd though frequently fights with him about Grandpa's Lazy Boy chair. Will is dead and determined that it is his and he has a better claim on it then Grandpa.
His favorite foods are macaroni and cheese "cheese" and pizza "zizza."
Will loves swords, he loves his play swords and loves to pretend that butter knives are swords.
His favorite animal is a dinosaur. He loves to print our dinosaur pictures from the internet everyday.
He still loves to sleep with Mom and Dad (Mom and Dad don't exactly love this, but it's all good).
Will's loves to watch TV "movies." Some of his favorites include any superhero show, "Dora the Explorer," and the "Dino Squad".
He loves to be outside, especially in the swimming pool any chance he gets.
I can't believe that he is 3, but it is so so so fun watching him grow up. I love our little guy.
Sadly this is the only picture I got, but I had a fabulous day having lunch with several good friends, going to dinner with Blaine, then having Blaine make me my favorite cake, German Chocolate. YUM!!! It was a great way to turn 33.

Girl & Kids Vacation - The Children's Museum
On our last day in Rochester, we decided to let the kids have a little more fun by going to the Children's Museum. Rochester has an awesome children's museum and it is huge. The kids had an absolute blast, and loved being able to just run around and play.
After the children's museum we headed up to see Lake Ontario, which is not too far away from Lynsee's house. Some of us had never seen all the great lakes. It was pretty cool to look out on it because you could not see the other side.
After Lake Ontario, we headed back to Lynsee's and Emily and her girls flew out. That night my mom and sister Ashley were nice enough to watch my kids so that Mike, Lynsee & I could go and see the Hill of Cumorah pageant. I had never seen it before and it was awesome. Here is a picture of Lynz & I right before the pageant started.
We had a really fun trip and thanks to Lynz & Mike for hosting all the crazy Hall girls and their kids for an entire week.

Girl & Kid Vacation - Niagara Falls
On Thursday since many of us hadn't ever seen Niagara Falls, we decided to drive the little over an hour from Lynsee's house to see it. We headed over to the Canadian side since that's where you can get the much better view of it. The Falls themselves were absolutely gorgeous, the town itself, pretty much a tourist trap. Even so we had fun seeing the falls then having lunch at the Rain Forest Cafe.
It was a fun way to spend the day and I think everyone had a pretty good time.
